A random encounter with a couple underscores this, as the other girl refers to her as "a stray dog." She joins a pen-pal group and receives a letter from a boy who signs his letter "Nobody," feeling the same as she. By chance, she meets the boy from the couple, who takes a liking to her. They spend time together and attend a beach party, where the other girl slips a letter to him. She was delivering a letter from "Nobody," and it is revealed that the two main characters have been writing each other the letters! Plus: Ann loves her sister Sherry's boyfriend, Danny. She tried dating others, but still thinks of Danny. Danny tells Ann that he doesn't love Sherry anymore and he kisses Ann, saying the same words he had said to Sherry. She pushes him aside, thinking to herself that Sherry will learn the same lesson that she has learned in "Bitter Lesson in Love!"
