It was originally sold and distributed inside a 1996 Marvel Comics Activity Set that also included other items such as a Spidey glow-in-the-dark ring, action stickers, poster, etc. The Interactive Comic Book was described on the packaging and on the inside front cover as "A Special Edition Spider-Man Comic Book To Color Along With The Pros". (No, that is not a typo. The packaging said Spider-Man. While each Activity Set contained only one individual interactive comic, 2 different Spider-Man comics and an X-Men comic could be found inside).
