The Boy Who Went to the North Wind Rough Sketch by Scott Gustafson 2016

Scott Gustafson's warm, lush painted art gorgeously captures the wonder and excitement of the classic tales retold in this volume. This preliminary pencil sketch of the titular Boy captures the spirit of the character wonderfully, with his hands defiantly on his hips and cape flowing as he faces down the elemental spirit responsible for the loss of his dinner. Also included is a copy of the book the story was published in (Classic Storybook Fables 2017, Artisan), signed on the title page by Gustafson. Pencil on paper. Sketch measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and is attached to an 8 1/2" x 11" backing board with corner pockets.
