Synopsis A bitter scientist builds a monster to destroy his rival, failing in every attempt to animate it until the swamp accidentally gives the construct life. The creature has a conscience and refuses to murder, so its creator uses lies to turn the local people against it. In trying to kill his creation, the scientist is killed himself and another accident transfers the creature's consciousness into the scientist's human body, freeing the creature to live a noble life.
