Synopsis Black Canary roars across Batman's path on a motorcycle. Barbara Gordon comes home, while her father Jim Gordon is on the phone. She goes to her room, and for the first time changes into a costume that turns her into a Batgirl, and swings out of the window. Jimmy Olsen, cub reporter for the Gotham Gazette, has been summoned to Vicki Vale's hospital room. He gives her information that she requested on the Flying Graysons and Bat-Man. Vicki decides to leave the hospital even though she's supposed to stay 3 more days, and wants Jimmy to help sneak her out. Black Canary confronts a couple of men, knocks them out, and takes their money. Batman confronts Jocko-Boy Vanzetti, who is being escorted to freedom by a corrupt cop. But before he can finish beating up on Jocko-Boy, Batman hears automatic weapons fire, and leaves to stop that. Black Canary is running from the gang of the men she robbed, but Batman intervenes.
