Reporter Keith Michaels searches for lost Scandinavian gold smuggled out of Norway during the Nazi occupation. Keith dares a risky climb up a New York skyscraper to rescue his secretary from a hostage situation. In Hong Kong, reporter Geri Hamilton fends off the advances of a British intelligence agent while investigating a trolley strike that could cripple the city, in a story with nice Reed Crandall art. Cover features terrific black-and-white painted art by Johnny Craig. First issue with the Comics Code seal on the cover. Perhaps the strangest comic of that line, if not of all time, this features ordinary people Freddy, Ellen and Mark as they undergo Freudian analysis to find the root of their neuroses. Definitely one of a kind. Featuring some stories by Daniel Keyes, later the author of the science fiction classic Flowers for Algernon. In lieu of mail, a letter to the reader from the editors, pointing out that insane people don't see psychiatrists, and stating the plan to cover each person over a series of issues as they go through therapy. Ellen feels a great weight has been lifted after the doc points out that her problems stem from her flawed relationship with her parents and a strange accident when she was a little girl. First issue with the Comics Code seal on the cover.
