"And Fear Shall Follow!", script by Arnold Drake, pencils by Don Heck, inks by Vince Colletta; When a trading vessel piloted by members of the Aakon race, they detect a Kree vessel in proximity to the planet Earth; As age old enemies of the Kree, the Aakon decide to land on the dark side of the moon to avoid detection; However, their effort proves too late and Yon-Rogg orders his men to attack the Aakon, in spite of Mar-Vell's warnings that it wouldn't be a good idea; During the battle on the Moon, Yon-Rogg is injured in combat, and Mar-Vell is forced to kill the Aakon leader in order to save his superior, and both parties flee the scene of the battle; Mar-Vell assumes temporary control of the Kree vessel while Yon-Rogg is injured, however he soon returns to Earth; On Earth, Mar-Vell decides to investigate the home of the late Walter Lawson to turn up clues about the man's past, partially for Carol Danvers, and partially for his own curiosity. When he finds a secret lab where something big and humanoid is being constructed, Mar-Vell is attacked by members of the Organization, who had commissioned Lawson to build a robot to be their perfect assassin for them. 36 pgs., full color. First full appearance of the new Captain Marvel in "And a Child Shall Lead You!", script by Roy Thomas, pencils by Gil Kane, inks by Dan Adkins; Trapped in the Negative Zone, Mar-Vell is told by the Supreme Intelligence that he is trapped in this realm due to his blind quest for revenge against Yon-Rogg; However, he offers Mar-Vell a way to potentially free himself and directs his mind towards Earth and to the plight of young Rick Jones, who had just been rejected by his partner Captain America; (Unknown to Rick, Cap had forcefully switched bodies with the Red Skull.); He follows Rick as he returned to Avengers Mansion one last time to collect his things and start hitting the road again; When Jones gets close to an ancient Kree station which contains the Nega Bands, Mar-Vell conjures up an image of Captain America to lure Rick Jones to the bands; There Mar-Vell contacts Jones and explains his plight and that the Bands would allow them to temporarily switch places; Given the opportunity to become a super-hero, Rick accepts and puts on the Nega Bands; Clashing them together he and Mar-Vell change places.
